Airsoft in Estonia
FPS player? Airsoft is real-life CS, COD and PUBG. Every skill you have learned virtually works in real life too.
If you play CS:GO, Call of Duty, PUBG, Valorant or any other first-person shooter (FPS), you already have a strong foundation for airsoft. All those hours you have spent learning corner tactics, communicating with your team and analysing enemy movement — those skills are directly applicable in airsoft.
Airsoft is a tactical team game where participants use realistic replica firearms that shoot 6mm plastic BBs. Games take place in real-world environments — forests, abandoned buildings, CQB floors. This is not merely a hobby but a real-life FPS experience.
Skills trained in FPS games are not purely digital — many are the basic principles of real tactics used in actual military and law enforcement training. Let us look closer:
FPS players already know intuitively that CQB (Close Quarters Battle) and outdoor play require completely different approaches. Just like de_inferno vs de_dust2 — the "meta" for indoor and outdoor play is different.
CQB (indoors, short distances) — speed, reaction, corner control. Distances are 5–30 metres. Point accuracy is not required, but reaction speed is.
Outdoor / forest — longer distances, more concealment, use of fire support. This is where the map awareness and flanking strategy you trained in outdoor FPS games come into play.
In every FPS game you choose a loadout — weapon, attachments, class. In airsoft it is real. Airsoft guns are divided into:
Protective gear: a full face mask is mandatory throughout the entire game. Additionally jackets, gloves, and multicam clothing. Equipment can be rented — you do not need to buy anything for your first game.
Airsoft is a safe activity when safety rules are followed. All guns are chronographed before an event — the permitted speed limit is usually 350–400 fps (feet per second). On the field it is mandatory to wear safety goggles and a mask at all times. Experienced game masters (marshals) ensure that rules are followed.
🎯 Age limit: Participants aged 13 and over may take part in airsoft events. Younger participants are welcome at private events provided that a parent is aware of the nature of the activity and has given consent.
Many FPS players come to their first game and discover that in airsoft there is one big difference from gaming — the body cannot move as fast as a mouse. Fatigue, the weight of equipment and real-world physics add a completely new dimension to what you previously considered routine on screen.
But this only makes the game more exciting. After their first event, most FPS players say it "clicks" immediately — everything learned virtually is there, the only addition is the physical dimension and the team's REAL voice.
N.A.C. (Naissaare Airsoft Club) organises events across Estonia — from public games to private events. The Paide region offers excellent outdoor conditions: natural landscapes, forest areas and various event venues ensure a diverse gaming experience in every season.
In addition to public games, Paide Airsoft offers private events for groups — birthday parties, corporate events, bachelor parties and private sessions. All events are organised professionally.
